How does it work?
PRP treatment has been used over the last two decades in sport medicine to treat sport injury, burns and skin injuries and in dentistry to treat gum conditions and to strengthen dental implants. We also use PRP in Cosmetic Dermatology now.

A sample of blood is taken from your arm and centrifuged with a special machine to separate into red cells, serum and the platelets rich plasma. PRP is the component of blood we separate from the rest and use for treatment. We also can add vitamins and amino acids to enrich the PRP which is then injected back into the skin.

The PRP is rich in growth factors which stimulate fibroblasts and pre- adipocyte call to convert to fat cells. Hence, your skin becomes more youthful- looking, more plump with fewer wrinkles.

What are the potential side effects?
You might experience a mild discomfort similar to having a vaccine at your GP.

What are the other options?
We can combine other treatments that may be suitable for your skin needs including dermal fillers, micro-mesotherapy. Our doctor will invite you for a consultation to assess your skin condition and help to decide on treatment options.
